Riding challenge for LEPRA

Riding challenge for LEPRA

WHS brothers, F and B Shortridge recently embarked on a 41km bicycle ride in aid of the school charity, LEPRA.  Learning about the charity and about Leprosy at school has had a big impact on them and they really wanted to do something to help.

The route the boys took was very tough with several large hills and a few slightly dangerous roads but the boys cycled on!

They initially set themselves a target to raise £252 for Lepra, as this means 42 people will get the £6 kits that they need to treat themselves and to help heal their injuries. If treated early Leprosy is completely curable.

So far, they have raised £652 - which is absolutely fantastic.

Everybody at WHS is extremely proud of the boys and their decision to take on this challenge for such a brilliant cause.

Well done!
