Stunning Centennial Ball

Last Saturday the school was transformed into the most amazing stage for our Centennial Ball.

It was an incredible evening and a huge team effort. The Committee worked tirelessly over many months along with the Winchester House caterers, housekeepers and maintenance teams to bring Katharine Pooley’s incredible vision to life.

From the grand floral welcome to the corridor lined with blossom trees, the dusky pink marquee and the blossom artwork that was created by handprints from each child (these were also auctioned off at the end of the evening), the attention to detail made it an evening to be remembered.

The evening was to celebrate Winchester House being in Brackley for 100 years. However it was also to help raise money for our chosen charities and school projects and the generosity of sponsors and guests helped raise close to £100,000. Prizes including a week in Mustique for eight to a flight in an iconic Spitfire, money-can’t-buy tickets to ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final and a car parking space at WHS were all generously fought over as the bidding heated up after dinner. Dancing and the high-heel shaped vodka luge helped end the evening on a high!

A huge thank you once again for everyone who helped make it such a special evening. Please click the below for all the photos:
