Day Summary
All day children follow exactly the same day as the boarders. Children in Year 3 go home at 5.15pm and children in Years 4 - 8 go home at 6.40pm-6.50pm. Year 3 is viewed as a transitional year between the Pre-Prep and the Upper School and it is therefore appropriate that they have an earlier finish time.
There is Saturday morning school for everyone in Years 4 - 8 until 12.50pm after which many of the children will be involved with matches. (see the Upper School - summary page for more information)
During the day the children have a mid morning break at 10.50am - 11.20am when children are given a drink and biscuits. Lunchtimes vary according to age starting at 12.10pm for Year 3 & 4 and 1.00pm for Years 5 - 8. A short break is taken after lunch with a mini-break mid-afternoon, when a drink and piece of fruit is available. A hot tea is served starting at 5pm for Years 4 and 5.20pm for Years 5 & 6 and 5.40pm for Years 7 & 8. The children then venture off to their varied activity sessions which run from 6.00pm-6.50pm.

Day children return home having had their tea and their homework is completed, allowing for some necessary relaxation time before bed.
During the term all sports kit is washed at school.
