History
History Teaching at
Winchester
House
The History syllabus at Winchester House aims not only to teach children about the past but to develop the skills and processes which will enable them to evaluate major events and trends from the past and present. The study of history is seen not only as an academic discipline in its own right but as a means of developing the pupils' knowledge and analytical skills. Above all we aim to bring history alive and to make it relevant to the present day.
