A Rainforest Day at School.

As a fantastic finish to our Rainforest topic the Year 2 children enjoyed a Rainforest Day at school.  In the morning we used our beautifully crafted rain sticks and other percussion instruments to accompany our favourite rainforest song – Yanomamo. It sounded wonderful.  We also made our own lunch - delicious frog sandwiches, slimy snakes, crunchy stick insects, and a tangy fruit punch.  We finished our lunch with a fruit platter and of course chocolate cookies!  In the afternoon the children were transformed into rainforest animals as well as having the opportunity to listen to a range of different rainforest stories.  The children and staff all had a wonderful day which concluded a brilliant term.  Happy Easter everyone.
