Learn-to-Lead is an all-inclusive programme that teaches leadership and team-building from the age of seven.  Many aspects of school routine have been adjusted to enable children in the Upper School to exercise greater responsibility for themselves and their peers.  Practical leadership tasks are presented to the pupils as part of their curriculum and new facilities, such as a low-ropes course, have been installed to enrich the children's experience.  The house system plays an important role here.  House prefects are now appointed as well as school prefects;  Years 5-8 have lunch in houses and all Upper School year groups are represented on The School Council.  These developments all challenge the children to take responsibility for their school.

The programme, under the stewardship of Mr Warren Silman, also involves weekend challenges throughout the year, and expeditions in June each year take Years 5, 6 and 7 to wild and remote parts of the U.K.   Here we work in close partnership with World Challenge Expeditions - arguably the leading provider of outdoor and adventurous training in the U.K.
