Performance Drama
Each year group in the pre-prep produces their own musical Christmas play, and these combine to form a highly enjoyable performance in the School Hall in early December. Every child has a role and grows in self-confidence as they rehearse for that great occasion.
A more recent tradition is the Year 3 and 4 Arts Showcase. This is an opportunity for the children to display their talents in many aspects of Music, Dance and Drama. From solo instrumental performances to class dances, they demonstrate their achievements in a mixed programme. The second half of the show tends to be a short musical play or cantata, involving every child.
Recent productions have included 'Rats' involving Year 3 and 'Oh What a Lovely War' involving Year 8.

Classroom Drama
Many teachers will use role-play as a teaching tool within another subject lesson. Children in Years 3 and 4 learn movement skills in Music & Movement lessons. The older children enjoy improvisation and performance skills in Drama lessons.
