Maths Challenge Success 2008
UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge 2008.
Year 8 set 1 sat this challenge in February, amidst preparations for their respective scholarships and we have just received news of some very good results.
Since this challenge is really aimed at children in Years 9 and 10, an award of a certificate or an invitation to the next round [known as the Grey Kangaroo for children in Year 9 or below] is a great achievement.
So congratulations must go to George Bell who scored 47 and receives a Bronze certificate; to William Liebrecht who scored 58 and receives a Silver certificate; and finally to Mr Maths of Year 8 this year, Chris Palmer, who scored 80 and not only receives a Gold certificate but is also invited on the strength of this result to enter the Grey Kangaroo, which will be sat at school in April next term.
Well done all the above and also to the rest of 8 set 1, who all worked hard on a difficult challenge.
