Yr 8 Geography Field Trip 2008
Who said the British summer was over? It was just hiding on the Isle of Purbeck waiting to be found by 49 Year 8 students and 4 grateful staff. Based at Leeson House the pupils investigated the coastal processes and landforms of some of Britain’s most famous landmarks.
Old Harry and the Pinnacles, Durdle Door, Man O’War Cove and Stair Hole all survived the onslaught of tape measures, clinometers and metre sticks.
No stone was left unsketched no Studland Heath blowout unmeasured as the pupils put theory into practice.
So glorious was the scenery that one boy was overheard saying, “I am going to tell my family to come here on holiday its so nice”.
