Boarders Activity Rutland Water June 2008

On Sunday 15^th June 08 the Boarders enjoyed a wonderful day out at Rutland Water

Rutland is close to the public Schools of Uppingham and Oakham. Being the largest man made reservoir in Europe it offers some fantastic opportunities for the development of the Learn to Lead programme.

The Boarders worked together on the Rock Bloc climbing wall and high ropes course with professional and qualified instructors. We were joined in the afternoon by the children from Kings College, Madrid and had the opportunity to develop our sailing skills. It was fantastic to witness the fun and enjoyment had by all, as 12 laser Pico took to the water and caused mayhem for the first half hour then settled into some fantastic sailing.

All the teams worked together to achieve their common goal which was to enjoy participating in two fantastic sports in beautiful surroundings.
