Bloxham School win the Winchester House Inter Schools Public
Speaking Competition.

Last night Winchester House Year 8 children hosted their annual Inter schools Public Speaking competition in the Forum. The event is unique in as much as our children organise the whole event from start to finish.

As the competition hosts, their challenge is to co-ordinate the entire event. They do not compete in the competition themselves but the exercise is an integral part of our Learn to Lead programme in place at WHS.

The Winning Team

Four schools competed, Bloxham, Akeley Wood , Magdalen College and Chenderit. The standard this year was very high and the panel of expert judges had a very difficult time in deciding on the eventual winners. All the children competing received a certificate and the admiration and applause of the audience.

The competition was a credit to all the schools involved and our thanks go to all the teachers and parents who supported the event.
