We were delighted to welcome David Barber as adjudicator for our Music Competition Grand Final, which was part of our Lent Concert. He was particularly impressed by the high standard and entertained us all with his wit and words of encouragement.

Every single performer played with incredible maturity and we all enjoyed seeing the winners in action one more time. The brass group started us off with two exciting pieces, junior choir sang with gusto, orchestra opened the second half with two exciting film themes and Cantoris finished the proceedings in style (with a little help from their backing band).

Sam Rees was named the winner of the Music Competition for 2011 and James Liebrecht was given the Outstanding Potential Award. Congratulations go to them and of course to all involved in the Music Competition this term.
