The topic this term in Reception class is ‘People who help us’. We have had lots of exciting visitors including a pilot, a doctor, a vet, a builder and most excitingly a fire fighter. Fire fighters Luke and Mark brought up Brackley’s fire engine and talked to us about their jobs, showing us all of the different tools they use. We even sat in the back of the fire engine and pretended to be fire fighters!

Finally we had great fun squirting one of the hoses across the field and gave Mrs. Franklin’s car a wash!

In the next few weeks we will be having some more visits which will include the police and a farmer.

Reception would like to say a huge thank you to all of the people who have come to talk to us about their jobs. We have really enjoyed our topic ‘people who help us’.
