Mayor of Brackley visits Winchester House - NEW!

On Monday evening the schoool entertained the Mayor and Mayoress of Brackley and a large number of  VIP guests. They were invited to a viewing of the annual Art and Design Technology exhibition  and the evening culminated with a performance by Y8 children of the drama "Shut Up!"

A highlight of the event was the unveiling and presentation of Serena Holbech's painting.

Headmaster Mr Mark Seymour, Mayoress Mrs Janet Blunden, and the Mayor of Brackley Mr Chris Blunden admire Serena's wonderful gift to the school.

Serena, who has won an art scholarship to Tudor Hall School in Banbury, is an exceptional young artist who has worked hard on her large scale paintings and produced work of A level standard.  Her art tutor, Toby Till , said “Serena has amazed us all with her artistic skills and inspired so many of her fellow student s with her dedication and creativity.”  As a parting gift to Winchester House School , before she leaves at the end of term, Serena created a large painting of the school building. which was unveiled before the Mayor of Brackley.  Her painting has been given pride of place in the school where it will be a permanent feature for visitors and pupils to admire.
