Advent Fayre – Saturday 6th December 2008 ( 10am-1pm )

Once again we are looking forward to welcoming Winchester House families and friends to the Advent Fayre on Saturday 6th December, so do make sure the date is in your diary.   Plans are advancing for lots of festive fun and games, with plenty of good shopping and entertainment for all ages, and, as ever, we need lots of help to make it all happen! Please could we ask everyone to contribute something, however small, to at least one of the appeals below:

Chocolate

Tombola:

We need lots of chocolate (any shape, size or flavour) please!

Joke Shop

Please look out any new or very nearly new items that would be suitable for the children’s Joke Shop.

Children’s Prezzie Stall:

At the request of the children we will be running a stall where they can buy Christmas presents for friends and family within their pocket-money budgets. We would be grateful if you could donate suitable new items, such as toiletries, candles, trinkets, chocolates etc.

All items may be left outside the Pre-Prep Office or the Upper School Office, or given to me or any other Hippo committee member.

Cakes:

We would like as many people as possible to donate a cake/pie or a plate of small cakes/biscuits for the cake stall.   Seasonal items are particularly appreciated.   These may be left in the Pre-Prep or in the Upper School kitchens at any time on Friday 5th December.   Alternatively, they can be left in the Hippodrome at 8.30 a.m. on the morning of the Fayre.

Christmas Cards

Last term the current Years 5 & 6 helped design a Christmas card for BYHP.   These are now ready to order.   A picture of the card and an order form can be found on the School Website under “News”.   Please have a look and support BYHP.

Hoodies

If you would like to order a Hoodie for Christmas please contact me at caroline@oatleys.co.uk .
The closing date for orders is
Monday, 1st December 2008 .   There will not be a stall at the Fayre this year.

Finally, please do volunteer to your Form Reps to take a short turn helping with form activities on the day.

Thank you!
