GAWCOTT NATIONAL SCHOOLS TEAMS CROSS COUNTRY COMPETITION 27TH JUNE 2010

On an extremely hot, muggy Sunday, WHS had three teams competing.

The WHS GREEN TEAM comprising of Olivia Marston, India Willes, Toby Steele and Jack Steele (one of the youngest in the competition, aged 9 years) won the 11years and under competition.

The team came 6th overall. Toby came 2nd individually in the 11 years and under competition and 3rd individually overall. A fantastic result for the team.

Success didn't stop there.

The WHS BLUE TEAM consisting of Henry Bradshaw, Verity Taylor, Hermione Gee

and Sabrina Steele came 2nd in the whole competition and Henry came 6th overall.

Well done to the WHS WHITE TEAM of Freddie Barlow, Thomas-Shepherd-Cross and Johnny Beck-Brown who completed a 24 fence, plus bonus fences, course. For a young, first time team, they did extremely well.

Congratulations to all of you and well done for riding well and being so positive on a very hot day.
