WHS U9 Rugby team Qualify for the National Schools Tournament.
The U9s Yr 4 team played some great rugby at
Warwick
school to qualify for the National Schools Finals to be held at Epsom on
Sunday the 28th February 2010
.
All of the matches were very close encounters indeed.
In many cases only one try separated the teams.
WHS came second in the group and were matched against Chesham prep in the semi final.
They won this tight and intense match 10- 5.
Unfortunately they lost the final to a very strong QEG team 15-0, despite a terrific team effort.
The intensity of the matches was reflected on the touchlines by our very supportive travelling parents.
Thank you to all for your support.
Well done to the Boys for the excellent effort on the pitch and many thanks to the catering staff for the packed lunches, to Miss Baylis, our gapper and for staff support.
The Team,
Miles Shaw, Max Satchell, James Ringer, Hamish Thorpe, Lochie Shillington, Jack Steele, Toby Rogers, Harry Purton and Sebastian Sawyer.
