Nursery / Pre-Prep Summary

The Nursery / Pre-Prep Department for 3-7 year olds, is situated in delightful self-contained buildings. The original post Victorian building has been sensitively modernised, while retaining the best of the old features. We have a purpose built nursery, seven classrooms, library, art room, activity room and entrance hall. Our safe and secure playground is well equipped for young children.

Playtime Fun

All Pre-Prep children regularly enjoy the facilities located in the Upper School including the School Hall, Sports Hall, music department, ICT room and swimming pool.

We are proud of our welcoming, caring family atmosphere, where all children can feel secure, valued and included. We greatly value the close contacts between staff and parents and consider that parental co-operation and support plays a major part in the success achieved by our nursery / pre-prep school children and, indeed, throughout the school.

Our small class sizes enable us to provide individual attention for each child, to match and extend their learning experiences according to individual abilities and to be able to quickly identify and share any specific concerns

Making Friends

The stimulating yet relaxed environment in our nursery / pre-prep school ensures an ideal introduction to your child's schooling, providing a seamless transition from home to school.

Our very broad and balanced curriculum provides rich learning opportunities for every child, allowing everyone the chance to succeed. Our emphasis on first hand experiences both in and outside the classroom includes regular school trips, visiting workshops and theatre groups.

Learning Support: If it becomes evident that a child would benefit from extra teaching support during the year, we are able to provide support either with a Learning Support assistant or a specialised Learning Support teacher. We are also able to offer Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy. An Educational Psychologist visits the school on a termly basis.
