Getting ready for Chinese New Year

Due to the close links within the Early Years Department, children transfer smoothly from the Nursery to the Reception class.   Reception provides a more structured environment whilst maintaining the learning through play ethos.   Small group work is continued which ensures that every child is challenged accordingly and a weekly French lesson is also introduced.   The happy, ‘hands-on’, engaging atmosphere encourages children to be creative and to discover and explore the world around them.   The children are provided with various opportunities to access the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in the indoor and outdoor classrooms.
