Spratton Hall Cross-Country Relays
On Monday 24th January three Winchester House teams took part in the annual Spratton Hall cross-country relays. Sadly due to a hockey tournament we did not enter an U13 boy’s team. It was the first time Winchester House had entered the relays so all involved did not really know what to expect. The course was long and challenging and the cold, wet weather did not make running the undulating course easy at all. The teams comprised of four runners and there were a total of thirteen schools that had entered the event.
The Junior Girls managed to hold off some late surges coming in fourth place overall.
The Junior Boys battled well and were unfortunate not to win coming second overall.
The final race was the senior girls who battled hard as a team and like the boys managed an excellent second place overall
It was an excellent day and my thanks go to all the children and Mr and Mrs Gray for their help and support throughout the day. Well done everyone for a very successful day.
