23 children were entered for the Swanbourne Chase on Thursday 17th February. In total there were 11 other schools taking part and the course was tough, all over fields with some very hard hills and a little boggy underfoot.
The teams consisted of Junior Boys and Girls. This race took off first. F Sunderland was 2nd overall and the whole team achieved second place. The Junior girls came 5th.
The Senior Boys and Girls race came next and S Sunderland had an outstanding race and came 1st overall. The Senior Boys achieved 6th place and the Senior Girls won the competition.
All the children ran very well and must all be congratulated on their efforts.
