Lansdowne Club Drinks Reception December 07
A host of Old Girls and Old Boys, and both past and present teachers attended a drinks reception at the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair on Wednesday evening, 5th December. Over one hundred guests arrived to meet Mr Richard Speight, the Association President and former Headmaster. Over a glass of wine many old friendships were re-established. Among the invited guests was another former Headmaster Mr J Griffith and his wife Lindy. Current Headmaster, Mr Mark Seymour, addressed the members and gave a very positive update on the position of Winchester House School and its future direction.
Apart from being an excellent social event in the WHA calendar, the Chairman of Governors, Mr Keith Fowler, took the opportunity to announce to the members the collection and cataloguing of the school’s archives. As a result of a lot of hard work by many people, the school’s history is now recorded and all artefacts, documents and pictures have been catalogued.

Professional archivists, Mrs Sally Strutt and Mr M Harrison are to be congratulated for their efforts on driving this project forward. Mr Fowler made a plea for any relevant material that would add to this record to be forwarded to Mr D Gray for inclusion in the Archive.
All who attended agreed that the event was a hugely enjoyable affair.
