Colts As – victorious at regional IAPS

Huge congratulations to our Colts As!!
The boys put in an exceptional effort at the IAPS Regionals in Abingdon yesterday. It was a remarkable display of teamwork, with every player making valuable
contributions to our success.
We won all three pool matches, scoring a total of 10 goals and maintaining a clean sheet throughout. The knockout rounds were more closely contested, beating
Wellerbey 3-1, and a nail-biting match against Dean Close, clinched by an outstanding goal in extra time from Teddy G.
In the final against the Dragon, the score remained tied at 1-1 even after extra time, leading to a tense penalty stroke shootout. Ultimately, WHS emerged victorious in
sudden death, thanks to some stellar goalkeeping from Archie. Our overall performance saw us score 15 goals while conceding only 2 (penalty strokes aside), securing victory in every match.
As a result, we have now qualified for the Nationals at Cheltenham College on the 11th.
Winchester House is a Day and Boarding Prep School in the market town of Brackley, Northamptonshire, near the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire borders. We are a co-educational school for children aged 3 to 13 years. For more information on admissions, to arrange a private tour or to book onto our next Open Day, please click here.
