Boys’ U11 Hockey IAPS Match
What a day for our boys at the tournament! Despite a delayed start due to frozen pitches, they played 7 intense matches—winning 3, drawing 1, and losing 2. Every game was fiercely contested, and the team showed incrdible progress in tactical awareness and passing play.
Hard work paid off! They finished 3rd in the Plate, securing a bronze medal with a solid 1-0 win in the final playoff! 🏅
🌟 Special Mentions:
Man of the Tournament – Jude “The Wall”, for his outstanding saves in goal.
Most Improved – Tim, for his off-the-ball movement and relentless work rate.
Star of the Show – Toby, for his clinical finishing.
The Workhorse – Archie, who ran himself into the ground, leading play in midfield.
Captain Cool – Ben, for calm and composed play in multiple positions.
The Beast – James, a defensive rock who protected his keeper at all times.
Speedy Gonzales – Ashe, blistering pace on the wing and solid defensive work.
Tigger – Digby, for relentless pressing and creating chances up front.
The team left everything on the pitch and should be proud of their performance and improvement. There’s still work to do—moving into space, passing earlier, and making the ball do the work—but the progress is clear.
Huge thanks to Mrs. JC for her amazing coaching, driving, umpiring, and all-round awesomeness!
