Culworth Five Miler

The Culworth Five Miler, organised by Housian Rupert Rowling (1995-2000), is now in its fifth year and saw a field of 27 keen runners of all ages line up on the track outside Forge Coffee in Culworth on the morning of Sunday 11th September.

Daisy Irvine and Huw Proger took part, running one 2.5mile loop of the undulating cross-country course alongside former parent Simon Martin and Emma McGowan. Huw was the second fastest boy with a time of 18.28 minutes and Daisy was the fastest girl with a time of 23.40 minutes (convincingly beating both Simon and Emma)! Runners were met by Mrs Proger and her delicious brownies on the finish line – a welcome sight after a very challenging run.
