Housefest 2025
On Saturday, the Friends of WHS welcomed over 700 members of our school community to our inaugural Housefest.
Our sports pitches were transformed into a colourful carnival of activity with everything from an exotic animal encounter to a floral crown workshop, bouncy castles and traditional games, as well as an eclectic shopping bazaar and food trucks galore. Everyone from our Nursery tots to first team bowlers took great delight in sponging our brave senior leadership team (who took more than one direct hit!) and helped boost the total raised for Animals In Need to over £600.
Pupil bands from across Years 5-8 blew us away with their rock and roll renditions in our very own battle of
the bands, and our parents’ cricket team battled hard all afternoon to secure a victory over the teachers in
their annual face off.
Thank you to all those who supported the event on the day and particularly those who dedicated many months and lots of late nights to planning what was a spectacular day. The buzz around the school is palpable and calls for it to become an annual event have been flooding in… so watch this
space!
