Music Concerts

It has been wonderful to see and hear such a wide variety of skills and talents on display in our weekly instrumental concerts over the last few weeks. We have hosted four concerts so far – Piano, Strings & Percussion, Guitar and Brass & Woodwind, with Singing to come. Some children have performed having only had six or seven lessons, which is an incredible achievement, whilst our older pupils have drawn on a wealth of experience to inspire the younger ones.

Some of our more experienced Wind, Brass and Percussion players took part in a Band Day at Rugby School. They joined with five other Prep Schools to learn songs from the movies such as Home Alone, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean. This culminated in an incredible concert at the end of the day attended by some of our Winchester House families. 

The way the pupils have embraced these opportunities is a real testament to the children’s continuing dedication and love of music.
