Scholarship Success

What a crop of awards this year!

Out of 43 Housians in Year 8, we have received 29scholarships or awards—41% of which are academic. 20 of these awards are to Stowe – Academic, Roxburgh, Sports, Classics and Music, reflecting the close scholarship preparation programme that exists within the Stowe Group.

This exceptional achievement reflects not only the calibre and character of this year group but also the dedication and expertise of our staff and the strength of our new scholarship preparation programme, now in its second year. This is the first cohort to benefit from the programme fully, and the results speak for themselves.

Our 100% success rate with the Roxburgh Awards – Stowe’s academic award recognising all-round excellence in areas such as leadership, sport, music, or drama, is particularly notable.

Also notable is the extraordinary statistic that 32% or our Year 8s go to their Senior Schools with a sports scholarship or award – this is truly unprecedented.

Behind these headlines lie years of work by teachers, TAs, coaches, pastoral staff, and of course, parents. It truly is a whole-school triumph.
