The Sciences are taught separately by subject specialists, and our Science curriculum encompasses Scientific Enquiry, Life Processes, Materials & Properties, and Physical Processes. Pupils benefit not only from whole-class ‘in lab’ teaching but also from individual and group work outside of the classroom (our outdoor spaces, including the Secret Garden and pond, provide an extension to the classroom). As part of The Stowe Group, pupils are also able to access the exceptional science facilities at Stowe.

In Design and Technology, the curriculum covers a comprehensive design and make process, instilling problem-solving abilities from an early age. Pupils are encouraged to think creatively, pushing boundaries and exploring innovative approaches. To support their ideas, we offer access to cutting-edge technologies, including a 3D printer. This technology allows pupils to bring their designs to life, and these hands-on learning experiences with modern processes help prepare the pupils for the technological challenges of the future.

Our Maths curriculum aims to instil a real love for the subject, providing pupils with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Through a mastery approach, pupils develop fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills, empowering them to comprehend the underlying principles and apply them in real-life situations.
