Under the umbrella of PSHE comes Personal, Social, Health and wellbeing and Economic education. Through a focus on emotional literacy, social skills and spiritual development the children build their of confidence, independence, tolerance, compassion, discovery, leadership, responsibility and a sense of belonging.
Our curriculum is continually updated, ambitious, and focuses on the children taking responsibility for their own learning with the aim of becoming life-long learners in every area of their lives. Our goal is for every pupil to know how to stay healthy, safe and prepared for the next stage of their life. The Winchester House Way is at the heart of core values and ethos of the school with even the youngest Housians striving to be their ‘Best Self’.
PSHE is taught throughout the school by their own class teachers and tutors ensuring that they know the children well to encourage discussion and debate. The learning in class is supported through assemblies and specialist external speakers, to give a wider perspective.
